Paul Basile is Principal and Lead Designer for BASILE Studio, a full-service architectural design and building fabrication Southern California company established in 1994. Their high-end, pioneering commercial, hospitality and retail projects have earned wide-ranging critical acclaim and multiple design awards from the American Institute of Architects and San Diego Architectural Foundation.
Basile is a fourth generation builder and first generation designer, developer, and sculptor. To satisfy the desire to create his own works, Basile is carving out time and "combining my passion and perpetual drive to mix traditional design methods with cutting-edge technology". Attention to detailed craftsmanship helps him embrace the challenges while providing the solutions to bring his vision to fruition.
Basile debuted his dynamic installations and sculptures in September 2018 at "Thought Out/Boxed In”, a co-exhibition with C.Martino, his co-salon owner and artist at basileIE/CM Curatorial. The work featured metals, wood, and light that were responsive to location activation and viewer engagement.
